Personal website / Previous version
MEKKY — The first chapter
The website before this one.
An earlier chapter of my own digital presence. Kept as a live project rather than erased by the redesign.
The problem.
Make room for a different way of expressing the person and the work, without losing the previous experience.
The approach.
Treat the new personal website and the previous version as separate experiences. Keep the original accessible on its own archive address.
The decisions behind it.
- Preserve the previous experience.
- Keep the archive independent from the new personal website.
- Make earlier work accessible rather than silently deleting it.
What I built.
- Previous personal website preserved
- Separate archive destination
- A new chapter without deleting the old one
What came together.
The old website remains part of the work, not the current personal homepage.
